New Photos of The Canning Stock Route

Keith Wilcox has just released a new set of images. The Canning Stock Route (CSR) in Western Australia is the longest historic stock route in the world some 1,850 km (1,150 miles) long. The 51 wells along the CSR were built by Alfred Canning and his crew between 1908 and 1910, some are abandoned and some have been reconstructed supplying water to the many adventurous travellers who travel this route. These images are of a trip by the Subaru 4WD club of WA in May/June of 2005 we travelled north to south early in the season to avoid the rush. View the original The Canning Stock Route lightbox here
