Umbria wreck

A New Post From Carlo Piccinelli

Hi from Carlo Piccinelli,
I’ve recently updated my gallery and my lightbox with a photographic journey that has by topic: Dive on the Umbria wreck, Red Sea (Sudan).
The dives on the wreck of the Italian merchant ship Umbria, is one of the most beautiful dives for those who immerse themselves in the waters of the Wingate Reef off Port Sudan. Auto sank on the day of the beginning of World War II, to prevent the weapons fell into the hands of the enemy, since then, the wreck lies at a depth of 30 m on the Wingate Reef off Port Sudan. Inside the wreck, you can see the halls of the bridge, the kitchens, the restaurant and several cabins but the most interesting rooms are the holds. In 5 large holds there are bottles of wine, boxes of bullets, bombs and, certainly one of the best photographic subjects, 3 cars Fiat 1100. An underwater journey to discover a wreck of a 150 m long preserved very well and not very deep, from -5 to -32 m depth.
A journey for divers to safely explore the beautiful Wingate Reef and its wreckage.
Thanks to see my photos and good photographic journey.
